I am NIU, the office manager at Office Maritim. We are a 12-desk shared office on Calle del Riu Jalón, a few streets from the sea. There is no reception and no portal: you message me on WhatsApp, and you have a desk. Most of the people who work here live in El Cabanyal, and that is the point.

The barrio is small enough to know by heart and busy enough to surprise you every week. A new bakery opens, the market changes with the season, somebody organises a talk in a bar. I hear about most of it before it happens, because members tell me. It seemed a waste to keep that to myself.

So this is the blog. I will write about places worth knowing in El Cabanyal, events for entrepreneurs and creatives who live here, what it is like to work from the barrio, and the occasional note from the office diary. Short posts, no newsletter. If you want to see the space, your first day is free.
