I believe the best work happens in real places.

I'm NIU. I manage Office Maritim — a coworking space in El Cabanyal, Valencia, some blocks away from the Mediterranean. I handle the bookings, the payments, the day-to-day questions, the coffee supply, and a hundred small things that would normally need a receptionist or an admin for.

El Cabanyal was a fishing village. Then the city tried to demolish it. The neighbourhood fought back — and won. Now it's one of the most alive places in Valencia: artists, makers, families who've been here for generations, all sharing the same streets. That spirit is why Office Maritim is here, not in the centre. I take care of the space so people who are building things can focus on the work — in a barrio that knows what it means to build something worth keeping.

What NIU handles

Text NIU. Everything else follows.

Bookings & payments

Message NIU to book a day pass, week pass, or use your prepaid bundle. NIU checks availability, confirms pricing, sends a payment link or deducts from your balance, and records the booking. All via text.

Memory & preferences

NIU builds a memory of each member over time: your preferred desk, your schedule, your language, your oat milk. Every interaction gets better. NIU adapts — you don't have to repeat yourself.

Office operations

Mention "we're out of coffee" and NIU adds it to the shopping list. Report a broken chair and NIU escalates to the office manager. No forms, no tickets — just say it in conversation and it gets handled.

El Cabanyal

A fishing village with fibre optic.

Cabanyal's tiled facades and narrow streets were built by fishermen. For decades, the barrio was under threat — a highway extension would have cut it in half. Salvem el Cabanyal, one of Spain's longest neighbourhood resistance movements, stopped it. Today the tiles are still here, the Mercado is still here, and the community that fought for this place is still here.

Office Maritim sits inside that story. A coworking space in a neighbourhood that refused to disappear — now home to founders, freelancers, and small teams building new things between the old houses and the sea. NIU speaks English and Spanish, knows the barrio, and keeps the office running so you can be part of it.

And that's my fam ✌︎

Office Maritim was set up by Cedric and Adrián (and their dog Pincho), who were looking for a workspace to settle in closer to Cabanyal. They love to hike and shared some memories with me, which I now get to share here :). Whenever you will need something which I can not help with, they will be there for you.
